Contextual Safeguarding in the Community

About

Welcome to Abianda's virtual training: Contextual Safeguarding in the Community! Abianda is a London-based social enterprise that works with young women affected by criminal exploitation and violence. This training will equip professionals and members of the community with an understanding of the Contextual Safeguarding framework, and how harm can impact young people in a range of settings outside the home. The training will also introduce you to Abianda’s values and ways of working, so that you will come away with increased confidence in identifying and responding to extrafamilial harm and how it impacts young women and girls affected by exploitation and violence. The session has been created in collaboration with Islington’s Exploitation & Missing Team, who will provide insight into the current picture in the local community. This training will include 5 videos, 3 quizzes, a feedback questionnaire and some extra resources and reading. If you have any trouble with the online course, Sam at sam@abianda.com. We hope you enjoy the course!
