Risk and Needs Assessment

We have been working closely with Research in Practice and University of Lancashire to develop understanding of risk and needs assessments for girls and young women affected by violence, exploitation and 'gangs'. We are leading on the work with young women to elicit their expertise, who have first hand experience of risk and needs assessments, as to what works and doesn't work.
Learning from young women with lived experience of these systems and processes will directly influence how we can develop products and tools for statutory services that better respond to their uniques experiences and build safety. We will be collaborating with young women engaged in Abianda activities, our Systems Change Expert team, and hope to engage other young women from across London. We want to understand how these processes work for them and what needs to be different to ensure the tools are more effective in the future, and support the development of a contemporary understanding of young women's needs and the risks they face.
